Oakley Sub Assembly Windsor ULC

1026 Phillip Murray Avenue, Bldg. C, Dock CYY, Oshawa, ON L1G 8A7

 

Salary: $33.73 per hour / full-time (40 hours per week)

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the materials department with overall responsibility for maintaining and storing materials to meet production schedules.
  • Supervision of material specialists and materials handlers.
  • Develop policy and procedures.
  • Ensure that on-hand & in-transit materials are available & distributed accordingly to satisfy production schedules.
  • Maintain proper FIFO inventory management system according to customer specifications.
  • Ensure that materials and trailers are directed to and stored in the proper locations at all times.
  • Maintain scrap material reconciliation records and reports.
  • Maintain close and frequent contact with customers to satisfy department needs.
  • Manage material shortages through effective and timely communication with all stakeholders.
  • Manage all over and under shipments with stakeholders as necessary.
  • Ensure that weekly and monthly inventories for record balance adjustments are processed.
  • Ensure that dunnage is processed efficiently.
  • Ensure that all material is handled in compliance with customer requirements.
  • Establish and monitor department performance standards.
  • Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
  • Source and negotiate rates for logistics.
  • Implement and maintain procedures for compliance within the department.
  • Prepare and process all customs documents for International & U.S. shipments.

 

Job Requirements:

  • 2 to 3 years of industry experience
  • College diploma or certificate in Supply Chain Management
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • General knowledge of TS 16949 and/or IATF 16949 preferred
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office preferred
  • People skills and the ability to handle stress
  • Ability to remember large amounts of information and handle multiple tasks at once
  • Able to work with people of diverse backgrounds
  • Team player who can understand the growth potential of our organization
  • Willing to occasionally work long hours and occasional weekend and holiday work
