Seeking a Clinical Assistant to join our team at the Thyroid & Hormones Endocrinology Center in Oakville.

 

Thyroid & Hormones Endocrinology Center is a center of excellence in caring for patients with thyroid disorders, diabetes, and other endocrine diseases including parathyroid disorders, pituitary disorders, adrenal disorders, osteoporosis, PCOS, and erectile dysfunction. We have been serving the Oakville community for 13 years with exceptional patient care. Our center extends the cutting edge in the diagnosis and management of endocrine disorders especially thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, and thyroid and parathyroid disorders by providing:

 

  • On-site, real time endocrine neck ultrasound with power doppler

  • Pre-operative lymph node mapping

  • Post-surgical surveillance ultrasonography for thyroid cancer monitoring

  • Ultrasound guided fine needle biopsy (FNA) for nodules, cysts and cancer-suspicious lymph nodes and lesions with marker washing for Thyroglobulin, Calcitonin, PTH and Flow Cytometry

 

Our team is composed of 4 Endocrinologists with the finest training as well as other healthcare professionals dedicated to providing our patients with holistic and personalized care.

The Clinical Assistant will be responsible for conducting Initial Assessments to newly referred patients under the supervision of an Endocrinologist. This will involve reviewing referral forms and blood work, collecting comprehensive and problem-focused medical history and accurately inputting information into the charts, performing physical examinations, ordering proper blood work and clinical tests, and arranging consultations with the Physicians.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Must be an International Medical Graduate within 5 years.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members.

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to learn and optimize use of the office electronic health records (EHR) system, Accuro EMRpreferred.
