Seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team at Thyroid & Hormones Endocrinology Center in
Oakville, Ontario on a full-time basis. The Physician Assistant will assist with outpatient follow
up Endocrinology visits under the supervision of an Endocrinologist.
Thyroid & Hormones Endocrinology Center is a center of excellence in caring for patients with
thyroid disorders, diabetes, and other endocrine diseases including parathyroid disorders,
pituitary disorders, adrenal disorders, osteoporosis, PCOS, and erectile dysfunction. We have
been serving the Oakville community for 13 years with exceptional patient care. Our center
extends the cutting edge in the diagnosis and management of endocrine disorders especially
thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, and thyroid and parathyroid disorders by providing:
- On-site, real time endocrine neck ultrasound with power doppler
- Pre-operative lymph node mapping
- Post-surgical surveillance ultrasonography for thyroid cancer monitoring
- Ultrasound guided fine needle biopsy (FNA) for nodules, cysts and cancer-suspicious
lymph nodes and lesions with marker washing for Thyroglobulin, Calcitonin, PTH and
Flow Cytometry
Our team is composed of 4 American Board Certified Endocrinologists with the finest training as
well as 5 other healthcare professionals dedicated to providing our patients with holistic and
personalized care.
Clinical Duties will include but not limited to:
- Office Consultations: Provide medical care to patients under the supervision of an
Endocrinologist. Perform comprehensive and problem-focused history and physical
examinations.
- Office Duties: Return phone calls from patients, handle prescription refills, counsel
patients regarding scheduled treatments, and maintain safe working environment by
complying with policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must hold U.S. or Canadian BSc (PA), equivalent degree or equivalent experience.
- Must be certified by either the National Commission on the Certification of Physician
Assistants (in the U.S.) or the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada.
- Must meet the competencies outlined by the province in the Defining the Physician
Assistant Role in Ontario

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to learn and optimize use of the office electronic health records (EHR) system,
Accuro EMR preferred.
- Satisfactory references required. Criminal background check may be required.
