The Wolf & Hound brings Ireland to Vancouver. It is known to be West Vancouver’s neighborhood Irish pub, serving craft brews, elevated comfort food and live music. We serve a variety of craft brews and food, with an Irish touch, that will satisfy every craving. We are especially popular for the live Irish music that we offer twice a week, allowing everyone to be entertained as they enjoy our drinks and food.
Our brunch and dinner menu are fit for everyone with a wide selection of innovative and classic recipes that pair wonderfully with our selection of draft beer. Our over-all intention is to create a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere, one that resembles an old-fashioned Irish pub. We are in need of a Food Server who will bring a similar approach and experience to our business.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking to add to our team a skillful Food Server who will be able to offer exceptional service to our customers. We need a Food Server with great interpersonal and multitasking skills to join our team. Our ideal candidate has the ability to remember and present our menu and specials to our customers while also clearly communicating the orders to kitchen staff, they should be attentive to customer. The Food Server must work in a dynamic team environment, be reliable, and effectively ensure client satisfaction.

JOB TITLE: Food Server

JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES:

• Prepare restaurant tables to ensure sanitation and order
• Attend customers upon entrance and usher them to an available table
• Introduce menu and make appropriate recommendations
• Answer inquiries regarding the food and beverages as needed
• Take orders and relay to kitchen staff
• Guarantee accuracy of the orders after preparation by kitchen staff
• Serve food and beverages
• Solve customer complaints and issues in a positive manner
• Attend to all other customer requests
• Issue bills and accept payment
• Other related duties as needed

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent, Full-time, Long-term

HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week

WAGES: $18.50 per hour

OVERTIME: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations

BENEFITS PACKAGE:

• Insurance from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board covered by employer
• Vacation pay as per provincial regulations will be paid each payday on a semi-monthly basis

LOCATION OF WORK: 3617 W Broadway, Vancouver, BC V6R 2B8, Canada

ANTICIPATED START DATE OF EMPLOYMENT: As soon as possible

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
• Completion of Secondary school is an asset
• Ability to communicate in English
• Experience is an asset
• On-the-job training will be provided
