Position: Cook

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time, 35 hours/week

Salary: $17.50/hour

Job Requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available

Specific Skills

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods,

Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef,

Plan menus, determine the size of food portions,

estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies,

Order supplies and equipment, Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment,

Clean kitchen and work areas

Work Setting: Restaurant, Fast-paced environment

Supervision: Cook (general – optional)
