Job Duties:
1.Ensure tables are set with appropriate tableware, glassware, and napkins for incoming guests, present dishes neatly and in an organized manner.
2. Remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly after guests finish their meals, wipe down tables, trays, and chairs to ensure cleanliness for the next guests.
3. Check and refill condiment containers, salt and pepper shakers, and other necessary items at tables.
4. Record the consumption of food and beverages accurately to maintain inventory levels.
5. Properly package and label take-out orders for customers, ensure orders are complete and ready for pickup.
6. Portion out items such as desserts, bread, or condiments as needed, wrap items securely for storage or customer takeaway.
7. Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as heating up pre-cooked items or finishing dishes before serving, follow recipes and instructions for consistency.
8. Interact with customers to take their orders accurately and efficiently, answer any questions about the menu and make recommendations as needed.
9. Operate kitchen appliances such as peelers, slicers, and knives to prepare ingredients, ensure food items are cleaned and trimmed according to recipes.
10. Follow cleaning protocols to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment; Sanitize surfaces to prevent cross-contamination.
11. Safely handle cleaning products and chemicals following safety guidelines, store cleaning products in designated areas away from food preparation areas.
12. Check deliveries for accuracy and quality, organize supplies and ingredients in designated storage areas to maintain inventory control.
13. Dispose of kitchen waste regularly to prevent odors and contamination.
14. Maintain kitchen knives by sharpening them to ensure they are safe and effective for use.
15. Clean floors regularly to prevent slips, trips, and fall, polish floors for a clean and professional appearance.
16. Prepare fruits and vegetables by washing, peeling, and cutting them according to recipes.
Qualifications:
1. Completion of High School.
2. Prior experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
3. As a Kitchen Helper, you will be working in a fast-paced environment where efficiency and speed are essential to meet the demands of the kitchen operations.
4. This position may require standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and moving quickly around the kitchen.
5. A strong focus on customer satisfaction and providing high-quality service is important in the restaurant industry.
