Full Time Employment - Minimum 40 hours OR more per week

Job Title: Machinist

Wage: $35.00/Hour to $36.00/Hour depending on experience.

Education: Minimum College OR High School Diploma

Experience/Skills: A minimum of two years or more of experience as a CNC Machinist Setter/Operator in a small to medium CNC Machining and Milling shop setup. Experience in reading blueprints editing programs to improve productivity. Interpret complex engineering drawings and work-process documentation. Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines, lathes, grinders etc. Able to maintain lathe and milling machines. Excellent coordination and mechanical skills. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety. Good written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in math and basic computer skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive task. Working knowledge of safety protocols.

 

Moderate command of the English language is a must, with the ability to speak, write, read, and listen effectively.

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Check and inspect machined parts to ensure compliance with specified dimensional.

and geometric tolerances.

  • Review drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.
  • Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
  • Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces.
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
  • Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues.
  • Fit and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools.
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
  • Monitor output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects.
  • Set up and program machine tools for use by machining tool operators.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages.
  • Maintain production and quality logs.
