Job Description

Calculate and process regular payroll, including deductions for taxes, insurance,pension contributions, union dues, and any other applicable withholdings.
Process special payments such as bonuses, vacation pay, and other ad hoc disbursements.
Ensure that all deductions are applied correctly according to company policies and applicable collective agreements.
Prepare supporting documentation for payroll-related filings, including year-end tax forms and Records of Employment.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll calculations or payments.
Compile and review statistical reports to monitor payroll trends and ensure accuracy.
Maintain the confidentiality of employee information and payroll records, ensuring adherence to data protection protocols.
Implement and monitor secure systems for storing and processing sensitive payroll data.
Implement system updates and enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Facilitate communication regarding payroll adjustments, tax updates, and changes
in company policy.
