Job Description

Sushi Koshio Asian Cuisine is a restaurant that specializes in authentic Asian Cuisine, especially in traditional Japanese food. Due to rapid growth, we need to hire an experienced cook to join us.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete Japanese meals and individual dishes using authentic recipes, spices, and food products.
  • Design and plan menus;
  • Prepare dished of the day with certain portions;
  • Determine the size of food portions, estimating food requirements and costs;
  • Maintain inventory and records of food and supplies;
  • Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers, train kitchen helpers as needed;
  • Maintain kitchen operations, clean work area and follow safety regulations.

Employment requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school or equivalent program in cooking is required
  • 3-5 years’ cooking experience in Japanese Cuisine as a Cook in a restaurant, hotel or resort setting is required
  • Have a culinary certificate or equivalent credentials 

Job Details:

Salary:$16-18/hour, 40 hours/week

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Work location: Dartmouth, NS
