Job Responsibilities:
- GM sales will be responsible for setting general strategic direction, formulating policies and managing resources.
- They will coordinate activities between different departments or divisions of the organization and ensure alignment with overall corporate goals. This includes collaboration with marketing, operations, finance and other teams.
- Taking charge of the sales team, offering direction, inspiration, and assistance to attain both individual and collective performance goals.
- Establishing ambitious yet attainable sales targets for the team or department to drive growth and meet organizational objectives.
- Overseeing and assessing the sales team’s performance, conducting routine performance assessments, and implementing appropriate actions for enhancing outcomes.
- Plans operations for the coming year, prepares operating, marketing and capital budgets and submits to senior management for approval.
- Meets with sales managers and staff individually to develop monthly and annual goals and objectives, to review actual performance, and to assist with and advise best marketing actions.
- GM sales will be taking decisions on buying and selling of trucks and trailers.
- Focus on business development projects, including identifying new growth opportunities, creating strategic partnerships and expanding the organization's market share.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field is required.
- Extensive experience of 5 years or more in sales and sales management is crucial.
- Strong leadership and management skills are essential for guiding and motivating the sales team.
- Demonstrated expertise in sales management, including developing and executing sales strategies, leading sales teams, and achieving sales objectives.
- Ability to think strategically, foresee market trends, and formulate effective business strategies.
