Job description:

We are seeking an experienced Latin Dance Instructor & Choreographer to join our team and prepare our students to represent Canada in national and world competitions. The ideal candidate will have a background in Latin dance instruction and a love for all things dance. 

Job Type: Full- Time

Salary: $30/hour +

Location: In Studio (Winnipeg)

Duties:

• Plan and conduct dance classes for students of various ages and skill levels
• Teach dance techniques, choreography, and routines
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Provide feedback to students to help improve their skills
• Prepare students for performances and competitions
• Collaborate with other instructors

Experience:

• Have championships as a soloist, couple or group dance in country of residence
• Have participated in at least 2 or more salsa competitions in Canada, representing their country
• Have a minimum of 5 years as a dancer
• Have minimum of 2 years as a professional dancer

Skills:

• Specific knowledge in the style of Salsa on 2/New York style
• Expertise in various dance techniques and rhythms, including cumbia, mambo, pachanga, boogaloo, and cha cha cha
