Job Description

Location: Bishop's Falls, NL A0H 1C0

Salary: $32.50 per hour for 35 hours per week

Number of vacancies: 1

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, assess, and adopt updated administrative protocols.
  • Assign tasks and delegate work to members of the office support team.
  • Set task priorities, monitor procedure adherence, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Perform operational tasks within the organization.
  • Manage policies and protocols for disclosing records in response to requests under government access to information and privacy laws.
  • Organize and strategize office services encompassing facilities, equipment, supplies, forms, asset disposal, parking, maintenance, and security provisions.
  • Support in creating an operational budget, oversee inventory and manage budgetary controls.
  • Compile information and generate regular/special reports, manuals, and correspondence.
  • Oversee, supervise, and manage the coordination of administrative processes.

 Eligibility Requirements:

  • College/CEGEP is the minimum requirement.
  • Typically, 2-3 years of relevant work experience in administrative roles or office management is required.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to oversee staff and coordinate office activities effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills to interact with staff, clients, and senior management.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage tasks, projects, and schedules efficiently.
  • Ability to identify issues, find solutions, and make informed decisions to keep the office running smoothly.
  • Proficiency in using office software, such as word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation tools, is essential.
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of budgeting principles to assist in managing office expenses.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
