Truck Driver (NOC 73300)

  Salary: $ 28.90 hourly / 40 hours per Week

 Terms of employment Permanent employment: Full time

 Start date:  Starts as soon as possible.

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Work setting: Various locations.

Responsibilities:

• Address customers' complaints or concerns
• Professionalism in customer service
• Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Pay and receive payments for goods
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

    Driver's License:  Class 1

 Documentation knowledge:

• Accident or incident reports
• Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
• Maintenance and repair reports
• Trip reports

Type of trucking and equipment: Spray injection patcher, Stone slinger, Concrete mixing, Dump truck,  Surface mining dump, off-highway
