Client/Patient profile:

We are seeking a trained and experienced personal home support worker to provide care to an over 80 year old male who had endured a brain injury and has mobility issues. We offer competitive rate to hire the desired individual

Education: Minimum requirement: completion of Personal Support Worker or related certificate program.  

Experience: Minimum requirement: Previous 6 months full-time or equivalent part-time related experiences.

Job Duties:

 1. Works with the patient and provides one-on-one care and companionshipassisting with daily routine tasks after hospitalization during the recovery process.

 2. Provides bedside and personal care to the patient such as aid in ambulation, bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing and undressing.

 3. Plans and prepares meals and special diets in East Asia (Chinese) style, and feeds or assists in feeding the patient.

 4. Assists and satisfies the social and emotional needs of the patient including reading the news in East Asia (Chinese) language to the patient, initiating and maintaining casual chat with the patient, which helps the language ability recovery and memory restoration.

 5.Performs routine health-related duties such as assisting in the administration of medications and collecting specimens when required.

 6.Performs routine light housekeeping duties such as washing dishes and making beds when required.

 7. Documents and records daily care reports when required.
