JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic Food Service Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that quality standards are met, and customers receive an outstanding dining experience.

 

JOB TITLE: Food Service Supervisor - Pizza

 

NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 1

 

JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES: 

  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of staff responsible for preparing, portioning, and serving food in a pizza store setting.
  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand.
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef based on customer requests, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in meal preparation.
  • Plan pizza menu and determine related ingredients and labour cost.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to streamline operations and ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, equipment repairs, sales transactions, and food wastage to facilitate efficient inventory management.
  • Provide training to staff on job duties, as well as sanitation and safety procedures to uphold health and hygiene standards.
  • Supervise and inspect the assembly of regular and specialty pizza orders, ensuring adherence to quality control standards and customer specifications.
  • Oversee the delivery of food orders to customers, ensuring prompt and courteous service.
  • Participate in the selection of food service staff and contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and budgets to optimize store operations.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • 2 or more years, or experience working in a supervisory occupation is required.
  • Ability to communicate in English.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES: 

  • Fast-paced environment with frequent multitasking
  • Standing for extended periods during busy shifts
  • Handling and lifting of food supplies and equipment.
  • Exposure to heat and steam from ovens and cooking appliances
  • Interacting with customers and staff in a crowded setting
  • Potential exposure to loud noises in a busy kitchen environment
  • Working under pressure to meet customer demands and maintain efficiency.
  • Adherence to health and safety protocols, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices.

  • Client focus and dependability
  • Must be a team player, flexible, reliable, and organize.
  • Must be available for all hours of operation including overtime and weekend work as required.
  • On the job training will be provided

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent Full-time, Long-term.

 

WAGES: $20 per hour

 

HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week

 

OVERTIME: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations.

 

BENEFITS PACKAGE: 

  • Insurance from Workplace Safety Insurance Board covered by employer
  • Vacation pay as per provincial regulations will be paid each payday on a semi-monthly basis.

 

ANTICIPATED START DATE OF EMPLOYMENT: As soon as possible
