Job Duties:

• Stitching fabric together using sewing machines or hand sewing techniques to create tailored covers for furniture pieces.
• Measuring and cutting fabric according to patterns or dimensions provided, ensuring accuracy and proper fit.

• Install/replace webbing, springs, and other furniture parts using hand and power tools.

• May repair furniture frames and refinish wood surfaces.

• Install padding and underlays and fasten covering materials to furniture frames.
• Collaborating with clients to create custom upholstery designs, selecting fabrics, colors, and styles that meet their preferences and specifications.
• Stretching and securing fabric onto furniture frames, ensuring a smooth and wrinkle-free finish.

• Tack, glue, or sew ornamental decorative elements such as trim, buttons, or tufting to enhance the appearance of upholstered furniture.
• Following safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, especially when using tools and equipment.
