A full-time position is available for an Assistant Accounting Manager. The position is open-ended and requires 30 hours per week. The salary range is CAD $58.00 to CAD $60.00 per hour, with the possibility of negotiation based on experience. Overtime pay is at a rate of 1.5 times for hours worked beyond the 44th hour. The office is located at 2 MELANIE CRT., MARKHAM, Ontario L6C 1B3. Fluency in English is a prerequisite for this position. It is not possible to work remotely.
The duties and responsibilities for this position include:
- Coordinate the organization’s financial operations and budget activities in order to optimize financial performance

You must have the following qualifications:
- Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, commerce or a related field is required;
- Minimum Experience: A minimum of one to two years of professional experience at a Big Four accounting firm, such as Deloitte, PWC, EY, or KPMG, is considered a valuable asset;
- Accounting Expertise: A solid grasp of Canadian accounting principles, practices, and standards is a prerequisite;
- Rick Control Skills: Prior experience in identifying potential risks and developing solutions in a timely manner for improvements is preferred;
- Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends through continuous learning and professional development;
- Analytical Skills: The capacity to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to management. The ability to resolve complex accounting issues hinges on the possession of strong problem-solving skills;
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy and attention to detail are critical in accounting to ensure financial records are error-free and comply with regulations;
- Organizational Skills: The capacity to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective organizational skills are essential for the efficient management of the accounting department's workload;
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is necessary;
- Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms is crucial for the dissemination of financial information to stakeholders and collaboration with other departments; and
- Ethical Standards: High ethical standards and integrity are crucial in accounting to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain the company's reputation.
