Job Description

At Faubourg Kerrisdale location, we are currently looking for a full-time and permanent Food Service Manager.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
  • Recruit staff and oversee staff training
  • Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
  • Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
  • Ensure the compliancy with all health and safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned by the owner

 

Education, skills and experience required:

  • Completion of Secondary School
  • Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is strong asset
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience
  • Must have strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills

 

Language: Communication skills in English

 

Compensation:

$35.00 / hour, 4% Vacation Pay, Extended medical will be provided after one-year continuous full-time work
