Job Description

EDOKKO JAPANESE FOOD is looking for a sou-chef position. 

Salary: $23.50 / hour

Job Type: Full-time, permanent (30 to 40 hours/week)

Language: English

Experience: 5 years of related experience or more.

 

Tasks

  1. Collaborating with restaurant management to create and update the menu
  2. Overseeing the preparation of ingredients, including slicing fish, cutting vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces
  3. Directly responsible for cooking and assembling dishes
  4. Maintaining high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
  5. Keeping up-to-date with current trends and techniques in Japanese cuisine
  6. Monitoring food costs and kitchen expenses to ensure profitability
