Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced landscaper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for landscaping and outdoor work, as well as a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform various landscaping tasks, including mowing, trimming, edging, and planting.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools.
• Assist with the installation of landscape features such as irrigation systems, patios, and retaining walls.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients.

As a Landscaper for newly constructed houses your job duties will include:

Site Preparation:

Clearing debris and unwanted vegetation from construction sites.

Grading and leveling the land to ensure proper drainage and aesthetics.

Sod Installation and Lawn Establishment:

Installing sod or seeding grass to establish lawns in front and backyards.

Applying fertilizer, soil amendments, and mulch as needed for healthy grass growth.

Planting and Landscaping:

Selecting and planting trees, shrubs, and flowers according to landscape plans.

Installing flower beds, borders, and other decorative elements.

Mulching around plants to retain moisture and prevent weed growth.

Hardscaping Installation:

Building pathways, walkways, and driveways using materials like concrete, pavers, or gravel.

Installing retaining walls, edging, and decorative stone features.

Setting up outdoor living spaces such as patios and seating areas.

Maintenance and Cleanup:

Pruning trees and shrubs to maintain their shape and health.

Trimming grass, edging borders, and removing weeds to keep landscapes tidy.

Monitoring and adjusting irrigation systems as needed.

Performing seasonal cleanup tasks such as leaf removal and winterizing plants.

Snow Removal: during winter is snow removal. This may involve clearing snow from sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and other areas using shovels, snow blowers, plows, or other snow removal equipment.

 Preventing ice buildup and managing icy surfaces is crucial for safety. This may involve applying salt, sand, or other de-icing agents to sidewalks, stairs, and other walkways to reduce slip hazards.

Requirements:

Previous experience in landscaping or a related field

Knowledge of landscaping techniques and best practices

Ability to operate landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers

Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
