Education: Completion of graduate certificate program in magnetic resonance imaging or a bachelor of health sciences in radiography, nuclear medicine or radiation therapy or related field and a period of supervised practical training are required.
Experience: Minimum 3-4 year experience needed.

Job Description:
- Perform MRI examinations in accordance with our policy and procedures to produce anatomic images of the human body for diagnosis by radiologists of disease or injury
- Perform verification and quality control checks on magnet equipment.
- Perform duties including; Receiving and completing requisitions, Entering relevant data into the radiology information system,
- Preparing examination trays and patients for specific procedures, safety screen all the patients for contract-indicators present that could harm the patient or would exclude the patient from having the examination.
- Monitor patient during procedures and monitoring equipment performance.
- Make sure all the safety precautions are taken for the patient as well as colleagues, or other members of health care team that enter to the magnet room.
- May need to train and supervise student magnetic resonance technologists or supervise other magnetic resonance technologies
Knowledge and Abilities
- Demonstrate ability to develop procedure protocols and manuals.
- Demonstrate skill in MRI techniques and the use of applicable equipment and supplies.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Demonstrate computer skills with current computer applications.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate (orally and in writing) and deal effectively with clients and their families, coworkers, physicians, other health care staff, and staff of external agencies.
- Demonstrate knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with medical imaging equipment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of standards of practice and guidelines for Medical Imaging practitioners established by relevant national professional associations.
