Position: Fence Installer

Number of positions: 1

Terms of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $28.00 per hour

Work location(s): Various Locations in Abbotsford (BC) and other Lower Mainland areas in BC as per the company’s contracts with its clients

Job duties: 

• Read blueprints, drawings, or work order specifications to plan layout and installation procedures. 
• Measure and lay out fence lines and mark posthole positions, following instructions, drawings, or specifications
• Dig post holes in which the fencing will be positioned.
• Set metal or wooden posts in upright positions in postholes and align posts using plumb bobs or levels.
• Mix and pour concrete around bases of posts, or tamp soil into postholes to embed posts
• Join, raise, and secure segments of the fence in place.
• Install, repair, and service fencing and decks using hand and power tools.

Position Requirements:

• Completion of Secondary school would be considered an asset but not mandatory.
• Minimum 6 months of installation work experience in a similar field is required.
• Ability to communicate in English.

•  If any of the current employees of Alpha Pro General Contracting Ltd. makes a referral that results in to hire, the company will pay a $1000 referral to that employee. 
• Financial assistance for relocation from other provinces or regions will be provided up to $1000.00 for qualified candidates.
