Position Title: FLOOR COVERING INSTALLER

We are looking for 01 Floor Covering Installer (NOC TEER 73113).

Job Duties:
• Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered
• Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding
• Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
• Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings
• Prepare and install hardwood floors
• Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
• Conduct moisture, pH, temperature and other tests prior to flooring installations
• Estimate costs and materials
• Prepare floors for installations
• Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
• Handle and load materials carefully.
• Specialize in installing tiles, wood, and laminate flooring.

Work Environment
• Odours and dusty conditions.
• Commercial, residential, and various locations.

Employment Details:
• Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time.
• Start Date: As soon as possible.
• Language of work: Basic conversational English.
• Wage: $23.80/hour.
• Hours: 7 hours/day, 35 hours/week.
• Location of work: Victoria, BC. No remote work available.
• Other Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
