Information system Vice President Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the President, the Information system Vice President drives the planning, development and executive of the vision and strategy for company’s information technology systems. The information system VP will collaborate with leaders at all levels of the company to plan and implement systems that support business operations, ensure end-user satisfaction, remain highly secure, and enable more efficient operations.
- Establish information systems objectives, formulate IT policies and procedures, and lead the continued development of the technology strategy and roadmap for the company, ensuring alignment with the company’s business goal;
- Oversee IT infrastructure, operations, applications, security, and compliance and risk. Manage technology infrastructure such as server, databases, networks and operations. Ensure enforcement of information security policies, procedures and guidelines and sustained compliance with regulatory and contractual requirement;
- Strategically allocate material, human and financial resources to implement IT policies and program;
- Develop and monitor the annual operating and capital expenditure budgets for company’s information technology and telecommunications, ensuring consistency with overall strategic objectives;
- Review and update policies and procedures to ensure the protection of company IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy of corporate and personal information;
- Responsible for the selection, acquisition, development, installation, maintenance and support of information technology for the company;
- Spreadhead digital transformation initiatives, research new solutions and emerging technologies and recommend how these solutions and technologies can improve our business;
- Approve personnel planning, recruit and manage the middle managers and IT staffs, delegate the appropriate authority, and establish optimal working conditions;
- Coordinate the work of department, communicate IT plans, policies and technology trends throughout the company, including to management and operational groups;
- Develop and maintain a business recovery plan to ensure timely and effective restoration of data and IT services in the event of a disaster;
- Represent the company to act on behalf of the company in negotiation contracts and other official functions.
Qualifications and Requirement:
- A university degree or college diploma in business administration, finance or other discipline related to information system or information technology management is required.
- At least 5 years direct senior managerial experience in information system or information technology management is required.
- Strong technology background, ability to assess, diagnose and propose forward-thinking technology solutions to support the strategic direction of the business is an asset.
