Job Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and supervising employees and all activities of the purchasing department.
- Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
- Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.
- Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
- Responsible for order placement timing, supply / demand alignment, material replenishment and supplier performance
- Monitor, evaluate and improve supplier performance, according to an appropriate Service Level
- Agreement, on a continuous basis
- Control and monitor expenses against approved budgets
- Develop sourcing strategies
- Cost saving budgeting and targeting
- Payment terms negotiation, optimization and management
- Maintain contracts with vendors
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers and renegotiate prices on a regular basis
Eligibility Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, supply chain management, or finance is typically preferred.
- Relevant work experience, often ranging from 2 to 3 years or more in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Supervisory and management experience.
- Attention to detail
Location: Toronto, ON M5T 2C7
Salary: $35.00 per hour for 35 hours per week
Number of vacancies: 1
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
