Job Description
• Provide overall leadership and management for the restaurant, ensuring it operates efficiently and meets or exceeds performance and financial goals.
• Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including cooks, cashiers, and cleaning staff. Schedule shifts, manage workloads, and ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Maintain a focus on excellent customer service. Address customer inquiries and concerns, and ensure a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and manage financial aspects of the restaurant, including budgeting, inventory control, and cost management. Work to achieve sales targets and profitability goals.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure that food quality and safety standards are consistently met. Monitor food preparation and presentation to maintain A&W's quality standards.
• Implement marketing strategies and promotions to drive sales. Collaborate with the marketing team to execute advertising campaigns and attract customers.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Implement and enforce safety protocols for both customers and staff.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of ingredients and other necessary items.
• Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and ensure high performance.
• Generate and analyze various reports related to sales, inventory, and staff performance. Use this data to make informed decisions and improvements.
• Address and resolve operational issues, customer complaints, and employee concerns promptly and effectively.
• Ensure that the restaurant maintains brand standards set by A&W, including consistent branding, menu offerings, and operational procedures.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes, and adapt restaurant operations accordingly to remain competitive
Tasks
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
Conduct performance reviews
Organize and maintain inventory
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
Leading/instructing individuals
Address customers' complaints or concerns
Provide customer service
Recruit, train and supervise staff
Supervision: 5-10 people
