Job Description

Location: Brampton, ON, L6T 5R4

Salary: $55.50 per hour for 30 hours per week

 Job Responsibilities: 

  • plan, implement, and oversee engineering strategies, procedures, and goals
  • responsible for ensuring that the daily and long-term operations of the engineering department are smooth
  • Providing strong leadership and guidance to the engineering team. This includes hiring and developing engineering talent, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, and promoting professional growth and mentorship within the team.
  • They will oversee the maintenance and repair of the company's fleet, ensuring that vehicles are in optimal condition to operate safely and efficiently.
  • Integrating new technologies to enhance fleet management, fuel efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness.
  • ensures that the company's fleet complies with legal requirements, reducing the risk of fines or penalties.
  • They lead initiatives to improve the efficiency of transportation operations through innovations in vehicle design, fuel efficiency, and logistics technologies.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with repair shop. This involves ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and quality assurance processes to maintain safety, quality, and legal compliance.
  • provides leadership, guidance, and direction to ensure a skilled and motivated engineer and workforce.
  • collaborate with other executives on the promotion of growth within the company, the development of new design or project standards, and technical training for employees.

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree is required, engineering, computer science, management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Prior work experience of five years or more is typically required in similar field.
  • Strong leadership and technical skills are essential to guide teams and make critical decisions.
  • Expert strategic planning skills, with ability to also establish effective targets and measures, and monitor achievement of results
  • Expert business acumen, with an understanding of financial principles
  • Expert problem-solving and decision-making skills, with ability to diagnose and make recommendations on the organization's most critical issues

 

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
