Job Description

Location: Woodstock, ON N4S 0B1

Salary: $54.00 per hour for 30 hours per week

Number of vacancies: 1

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the individuals/teams in attaining the desired targets keeping in mind adherence to the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Initiating corrective action-based KPIs, downtime, and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) reports; to increase uptime and efficiency and reduce downtime and waste (labor, time, material, process, part)
  • Monitoring and tracking maintenance performance and taking action to ensure KPIs are on track.
  • Supporting Maintenance Cost Containment objectives by tracking labor OT and R&M budget
  • Hire, train, and manage staff, and ensure team leaders are guiding the teams as per standards including drivers, dispatchers, and administrative personnel.
  • Promote a strong safety culture within the maintenance department and the company’s fleet by ensuring all equipment is maintained in proper order, and all maintenance concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Develop and manage budgets for various operational aspects, including maintenance, and personnel costs.
  • Reporting to the Directors of the company to develop long-term business strategies and goals for the company.
  • Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and potential areas for expansion.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, maintenance providers, and other external partners to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Develop contingency plans for emergencies, accidents, and unexpected disruptions in operations. 

Basic Requirements: 

  • Bachelors’ degree in business or commerce field
  • Minimum or More than 5 years of experience for managing a business at the senior management level
  • Experience in working in logistics and transportation
  • Proficient in using MS Office
  • Excellent command on English language, reading, writing, and speaking
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to multitask, prioritize, and work within tight deadlines
  • Deftness and attention to detail
