Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for processing the paperwork for a company’s business transactions.
- Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts and posting transactions.
- Recording all financial transactions for a business. This includes transactions related to sales, expenses, and other financial activities.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable. This includes tracking invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling accounts.
- Managing employee payroll, including wages, taxes, and other deductions.
- Preparing financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements, for internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing inventory records, including tracking inventory levels and issuing purchase orders.
- Manage the annual budget and petty cash fund
- Calculate budget variances and report any significant issues
- Pay suppliers, vendors on time and maintain the invoices
- Generate financial reports with analysis of the financial statements
- Provide the information accountants and auditors need for their reports and audit
Eligibility Requirements:
- College degree or diploma in business, finance or a related field is required.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks
- Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement.
- Experience of 1-2 years as accountant or related role is necessary.
Location: Brampton, ON, L6W 1X9
Salary: $27.25 per hour for 35 hours per week
Number of vacancies: 1
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
