Job Description

 

Location: Mississauga, ON L5N 8P7

Salary: $64.25 per hour for 30 hours per week

Number of vacancies: 1

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Establishes restaurant business plan by surveying restaurant demand; conferring with people in the community; identifying and evaluating competitors; preparing financial, marketing, and sales projections, analyses, and estimates.
  • Developing and implementing marketing, advertising, public and community relations programs; evaluating program results; identifying and tracking changing demands.
  • Maintains and transfer professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the restaurant industry; attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
  • Accomplishes company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add more locations and new business.
  • Plan and develop the overall restaurant marketing strategy.
  • Ensuring the successful implementation of all local marketing strategies and continually informing all staff of any changes to pricing, products, and promotions.
  • Conducting & supporting the effective recruitment, selection, and onboarding of all staff, ensuring these processes follow a formal, logical, and professional manner always in accordance with company practices.
  • Market knowledge and social media, and work with the Sales and Marketing team to provide a clear strategy
  • Manage the day to day leadership and direction of the hotel, maximizing on sales and revenue and driving financial returns.

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and any higher education qualification equivalent in Hotel Administration, Business Administration or related field.
  • Five years or more; of prior hotel management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to think strategically and to lead
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to solve problems efficiently
  • Strong leadership and people skills to manage a team of staff
  • Knowledge of how to use restaurant technology, including point of sale systems
  • Computer literacy
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Good financial management skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
