Position:  Automobile Mechanic

Education: Completion of Secondary School

Experience: 2 Years to less than 3 Years

Wage: $33.70 per hour

Hours: 30-40 hours per week

Job Description:

• Test and inspect mechanical units to find the location of faults and malfunctions
• Determine faults or malfunctions and get approval from supervisor to decide
• whether to repair or replace the unit
• Make and complete reports to keep record of problem and work performed
• Test and adjust parts or units to specifications
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components
• Assess, review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
• Guide and forward work to apprentices
• Perform scheduled maintenance service
• Advise customers on work performed
• Suggest future repair requirements to customers
• Repair, replace or adjust units, parts and components of automotive systems
• Test and adjust repaired systems of vehicle to car makers specifications
• Inspect motor in operation, road test vehicles and test automotive systems and components

Employment Requirements:

Completion of Secondary School

2 Years to less than 3 Years experience
