JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Mississauga, ON L5T 2M9
Salary: $27.25 per hour for 35 hours per week
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate financial records, including income, expenses, and transactions.
- Tracking and recording payments from customers and clients.
- Balancing and reconciling financial statements, such as bank statements, to ensure accuracy.
- Generating financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets.
- Entering financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets.
- Monitoring and categorizing business expenses.
- Managing employee payroll, including calculating wages, deducting taxes, and ensuring timely payments.
- Assisting in the creation and maintenance of budgets.
- Keeping and organizing financial documents, such as receipts and invoices.
- Assist during financial audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial transactions.
- Input financial data accurately into the accounting software, double-checking for errors and inconsistencies.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring the security and accuracy of cash transactions.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A Secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
- Previous experience of 2 to 3 years in a bookkeeping role is valuable.
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks is essential for accurately recording and managing financial transactions.
- A strong aptitude for numbers and accuracy in data entry and calculations are crucial to ensure precise financial records.
- Effective organization of financial documents, invoices, and receipts is important for easy retrieval and efficient record-keeping.
- Good communication skills help in interacting with colleagues, management, vendors, and customers to address financial queries and provide insights.
- One needs to be detail-oriented to catch discrepancies, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate financial information.
- Familiarity with tax regulations related to sales tax, payroll taxes, and other relevant tax obligations is beneficial.
Number of vacancies: 1
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
