JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Georgetown, ON L7G 4S7
Salary: $28.50 per hour for 35 hours per week
Number of vacancies: 1
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
Job Type: Permanent employment
Job Responsibilities:
- Overseeing creation, organization and maintenance of various documents like shipping bills, shipping records, manifests, invoices and customs paperwork.
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the office, including maintaining office supplies, equipment, and facilities.
- Accurately entering data into relevant systems to ensure integrity of information used in shipping and logistics processes.
- Maintain, update and keep records of the driver files and equipment files.
- Maintain and handle documentation related to proof of delivery and bills of lading.
- Prepare the paperwork needed for customs when a shipment crosses the border.
- Prepare and maintain the order entry and update planning database in a timely manner;
- Facilitate communication within the office and with external parties, including clients.
- Manage office budgets, process invoices, and handle expense reports.
- Coordinate office events, meetings, and conferences.
- Ensure that the office complies with health and safety regulations.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Typically, a Secondary school graduation certificate is required.
- This position requires 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience, often in administrative or supervisory roles.
- Proficiency in using office software and technology, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software, is often a prerequisite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective interaction with staff, management, and customers.
- One must be highly organized, with the ability to manage tasks, schedules, and documentation efficiently.
- The ability to analyze data, make decisions, and solve problems is important for handling various administrative tasks.
