Job Description

Job Title: Buffet Cook (Full-time position)

 

Work Experience in:

  • Chef or cook at a Chinese restaurant; and
  • Cooking a variety of Chinese cuisine including appetizers, soups, main dishes, noodles and rice, seafood, vegetarian options, sushi, and desserts.

 

Work Location:

  • 1051 Kingsway, Sudbury, Ontario, P3B 2E6

 

Duties:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes and culinary delights for the buffet;
  • Create special meals tailored to specific dietary needs or as directed by the head chef;
  • Coordinate and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and smooth operations;
  • Manage inventory, keeping detailed records of food, supplies, and equipment;
  • Organize and oversee buffet setups, maintaining a high standard of food quality and presentation while ensuring a visually appealing and appetizing display;
  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and work area, upholding hygiene standards;
  • Contribute to menu planning, including portion sizing, cost estimation, and monitoring and ordering supplies.

 

Terms:   2-years

 

Remuneration:  $27.00 per hour / 35 hours per week
