Located in Burlington Ontario, Burlington Royal Arts Academy is the only private arts high school in the Halton region. Approved by the Ministry of Education, all students pursue an educational pathway that provides the Ontario Secondary School Diplomat while experiencing a rich, personalized curriculum focusing on artistic expression, creative thinking and development of voice.

 

We are seeking a highly proactive and dedicated Sales and Marketing Director

to join us. The Sales and Marketing Director oversees and directs marketing and communications support for strategic enrollment management initiatives. Critical to the success of this role is leading the Academy efforts for branding, communications and marketing including personnel management, creative direction, production, budgeting, and campaign analysis.

 

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-time, 30 hr/week

Salary Range: $53.00/hr, paid vacation days and public holidays

Location: 2054 Mountainside Dr., Burlington, ON L7P 1A8

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Initiate appropriate market research studies and provide marketing strategy reports.
  • Develop, lead, and execute an integrated, comprehensive strategic marketing and communications plan designed to achieve student enrollment targets, retention, and alumni engagement.
  • Responsible to create and maintain the annual department budget and marketing plan.
  • Measure, report, and optimize performance of all marketing initiatives against KPIs and ROIs.
  • Provide thought leadership and direction and stay abreast of relevant trends and marketing best practices.
  • Plan and execute various marketing programs in support of admissions that may include digital advertising campaigns, print campaigns, direct mail, recruitment materials, events, videos, podcasts and educational fairs to promote the colleges.
  • Lead the creative development, copywriting, and execution of school publications such as admission viewbook, school profile, speeches, videos, presentations, and other marketing publications as needed.
  • Oversee and optimize digital marketing campaigns and budget across all digital channels from concept to execution, ensuring it is on budget and meet enrollment targets.
  • Oversee the school’ website rebranding and launch of mobile applications. Includes developing a comprehensive, user-friendly and robust site map and content in support of enrollment
  • Oversee external digital communications properties including all social media channels, influencer strategy, virtual tours and ensuring content is current, timely and on strategy.
  • Proactively engage with all departments across the school and the agent networks to support their marketing initiatives.
  • Benchmark the school’s marketing programs against competitors in order to continuously improve.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree is required.
  • Minimum five years of working experience as sales and marketing manager.
  • Demonstrated track record of success at a leadership or managerial level focusing on the strategic marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful marketing and communications to achieve enrollment targets.
  • Culturally competent with a positive attitude toward cultural uniqueness and a readiness to accept and respect others.
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
  • Proven expertise in marketing, communications, and branding across a variety of platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and SEO/SEM to maximize sales conversions and optimize user experience
  • Strong analytical skills, able to prepare budgets, board updates and report on campaign results.
