My Mortgage Consultant Inc. is a mortgage consultancy company providing step by step aid for any mortgage related issue. We are looking for a full time “Corporate Controller” to support our growing company located in Mississauga, Ontario. 

 

Job title: Corporate Controller

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (32hr/week)

Wage: C$ 66.00/hour (32hr/week)

Language Requirement: English.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Experience: 2 to less than 3 years

Start Date: As soon as possible

  • Provide financial analysis and insight to support strategic decision making as conveyed through the policies of mortgage industry by adhering to relevant accounting standards.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the team members so that objectives are met through effective management of human, financial and material resources.
  • Oversee revenue recognition process, especially those related to commissions and fee earned from mortgage transactions.
  • Prepare and analyze financial and administrative controls by developing and managing the annual budgeting process and work with other departments to gather financial information for budgeting and forecasting purpose.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate and manage financial risks.
  • Formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and approve overall human resources planning.
  • Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs.
  • Stay informed about the changes in mortgage and financial regulations that may impact
  • Collaborate with other departments like mortgage brokers, loan officers and administrative staff to streamline financial operations.
  • Represent the mortgage firm, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the firm, in negotiations or other official functions as per the need of an hour.
  • Select middle managers, directors or other executive staff needed for the successful running of the organization.
  • Delegate the necessary authority to the staff including middle managers, directors or other executive staff and create optimum working conditions
  • Conduct performance reviews and work with tax planning and compliance team.
