We are currently searching for three Finish Carpenters.

Work Location:

Various sites in the GTA

Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in residential, commercial and other establishments

Applicants must be able to demonstrate extensive carpentry trim experience with crown mounding, paneling, wainscoting, baseboards, waffle ceiling, and geometric wall.

You will be required to train apprentices and labours.

Requirements:

2 years to less than 3 years

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Bending, crouching, kneeling, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, handling heavy loads, Large workload, Physically demanding

Work Site Environment:

At heights, Confined spaces, Noisy, Dusty, Outdoors

Own Tools/Equipment:

Tools, Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles

Work Setting:

Residential and Commercial

Terms of Employment:

Permanent Position/40.00 hours per week

Should be available to work a variable work schedule.

Hours of Work:

From Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3 pm

Salary:

From $ 32.50  to $ 35.50 per hour
