Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounting software.
- Input financial transactions into accounting systems, such as invoices, receipts, and expenses.
- Regularly reconcile bank statements with financial records to ensure accuracy.
- Calculate and process employee wages, including taxes and deductions, and ensure compliance with laws.
- Monitor and categorize business expenses to ensure efficient cost management.
- Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and summaries.
- Help create and manage budgets, tracking actual spending against budgeted amounts.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
- Maintain organized and easily accessible financial records for future reference.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in financial records and transactions.
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
Eligibility Requirements:
- This position requires a high school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Relevant work experience of 2 to 3 years is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, Tax Prep, or other tools is essential.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits, credits, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Strong math and numerical skills are crucial for accurate financial calculations.
- One must be highly detail-oriented to avoid errors in financial records.
- The ability to maintain well-organized financial records and documentation is essential.
- Effective communication skills are necessary for interacting with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
- A strong sense of ethics and confidentiality is vital.
Location: Oakville, ON L6M 2G2
Salary: $27.25 hourly for 30 hours per week
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
