Job Summary: Our furniture store is seeking 3 Furniture Assemblers to join our team and contribute to the assembly process at our well-established furniture store. The perfect candidate for this role would be dependable, approachable, and adaptable to the dynamic pace of our operations.

No. of Positions: 3

 

Job Description and Duties:

  • Utilize both manual and power tools to prepare, sand, and refine components of wooden furniture and fixtures.
  • Employ hand and power tools to bring together sections of wooden or metal furniture and fixture elements, creating both partial units and finished products.
  • Construct subcomponents or whole pieces of furniture by combining parts constructed from a variety of materials such as wood, metal, plastic, cane, etc.
  • Strengthen assembled furniture and fixtures through the integration of dowels or other reinforcing elements.
  • Apply hardware like hinges or clasps onto furniture and fixtures in order to complete the assembly process.     

 

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Long Term

 

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

 

Wages: $19.00 per hour

 

Overtime: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations

 

Location of Work: 3420 Pharmacy Avenue Suite 14, Toronto, Ontario, Canada M1W 2P7

 

Anticipated Start Date of Employment: As soon as possible.

 

Education, Experience and Language Requirements:

  • Secondary school graduation is an asset
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • On-the-job training will be provided

  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Must be a team player, flexible, reliable and organized
  • Must be available for all hours of operation including overtime and weekend work as required.
