Operations ManagerDuties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to President, an Operations Manager is mainly responsible for formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources, and securing compliance during the course of business.
- Participate in establishing objectives for the company and formulating policies, strategies, and programs
- Allocate material, human, and financial resources to implement the company’s policies and programs
- Establish and supervise financial and administrative control, and integrate best practices across all levels of operations
- Coordinate in the company’s risk management framework, and manage the company’s legal and compliance risk, with a specific focus on trade and business relations with China and broader Asian regions
- Coordinate the work of regions and departments to ensure all processes remain legally compliant
- Organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff
- Approve overall personnel planning, select middle managers and executive staff, and ensure that all the company’s policies and legal procedures comply with all employees
- Represent the company to act on behalf of the company in negotiation contracts and other official functions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A university degree or college diploma is required
- At least 5 years senior managerial experience in overseeing a wide range of operations, including business planning, financial management, personnel management, and administrative management is required
- Experience in risk control and regulatory matters, with a specific focus on international trade and business relations with China and broader Asian regions is preferred
- Broad cross-cultural and international experience (Asian Pacific and North American) with wide resources and connections in supply-chain, international trade, and logistic industry is an asset
