Role Description
- Developing and implementing the engineering department's strategic plans and initiatives in alignment with the overall business objectives.This involves setting engineering goals, defining technical roadmaps, and identifying areas for innovation and improvement.
- Successfully leading the repair shop operations.
- Providing strong leadership and guidance to the engineering team. This includes hiring and developing engineering talent, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, and promoting professional growth and mentorship within the team.
- Overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects. This involves managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, and ensuring projects meet quality standards and customer requirements.
- Leveraging technical expertise to guide and support the engineering team in making critical technical decisions. You may also be involved in resolving complex technical issues, conducting design reviews, and providing technical guidance as needed.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department. This includes identifying opportunities for optimizing engineering processes, implementing best practices, and fostering innovation to enhance operational efficiency and product quality. Identifying and mitigating risks associated with repair shop.This involves ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and quality assurance processes to maintain safety, quality, and legal compliance.
- Staying abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and market developments relevant to the organization's engineering needs. This includes evaluating new technologies, tools, and methodologies to drive innovation and improve engineering processes and outcomes.
- Managing the engineering budget and allocating resources effectively to meet project requirements. This involves monitoring expenditures, evaluating resource needs, and making strategic resource allocation decisions.
Role Eligibility
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in a related field such as mechanical, electrical is typically required.
- A deep understanding of engineering principles and practices relevant to the industry and organization is necessary. This includes a broad knowledge of engineering principals and specific expertise in areas relevant to the organization's operations.
- Prior experience of minimum 5 years or more in Trucking industry is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership abilities are essential to effectively lead and manage engineering teams. This includes proven experience in team management, mentorship, and talent development. Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills are also important for successful leadership.
- The ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans aligned with business objectives is crucial.
- A solid understanding of business principles, financial management, and the ability to align engineering strategies with overall business goals are important for effective decision-making and resource allocation.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are critical for identifying and resolving complex engineering challenges. This includes the ability to analyze data, make data-driven decisions, and implement effective solutions.
