Job Description

Location: Gander, NL A1V 1X3

Salary: $27.00 per hour for 35 hours per week

Overtime: 1.5 times gross pay after completion of 40 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute marketing strategies and campaigns to promote products or services and achieve business objectives.
  • Conduct market research to understand consumer preferences, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and manage content for various marketing channels, including social media, websites, and print materials.
  • Plan, implement, and monitor marketing campaigns, analyzing their effectiveness and making adjustments as needed.
  • Manage online marketing efforts, including SEO, email marketing, and social media campaigns.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, prepare press releases, and manage media inquiries to secure coverage.
  • Organize and manage public events, press conferences, and promotional activities to enhance the company’s public image.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of marketing and PR activities with company goals.
  • Develop strategies to engage with customers and gather feedback to improve products and services.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing and PR campaigns, using data to measure success and inform future strategies.
  • Oversee the budget for marketing and PR activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost control.

 Role Eligibility:

  • A CEGEP/ college degree or equivalent is typically required. 
  • Prior experience in marketing, public relations, or communications roles, with a track record of successful campaigns and public engagement is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for crafting messages, interacting with media, and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in developing and executing marketing strategies, including digital marketing, content creation, and campaign management.
  • Expertise in managing public relations activities, crisis management, and event coordination.
  • Ability to analyze marketing and PR metrics, measure campaign effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media management.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and evolving public relations trends.
