Job Description

Trillim Midwives , an Ontario registered midwives and provide primary care for low-risk women during pregnancy, birth and the first 6 weeks after birth for mothers and babies. We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team. 

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Interview patients to obtain case histories
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Maintain filing system
  • Order supplies and maintain inventory
  • Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records
  • Perform data entry
  • Provide customer service
  • Review and evaluate new administrative procedures
  • Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures
  • Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
  • Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence
  • Co-ordinate and plan for office services such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services
  • Carry out administrative activities of establishment
  • Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls

Experience and specialization

  • Completion of college program
  • At least one year work experience as a medical administrative assistant
  • Computer and technology knowledge
  • MS  Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Electronic mail, scheduler, and medical records
  • MS Windows
