Salary: $42.50 hourly / 30 hours per Week

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:
- Organize all elements of construction projects, including setting schedules, managing budgets, and allocating resources.
- Keep accurate records of daily site activities, including work completed, materials used, equipment status, and any changes to the original plans.
- Interpret and analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures in line with Canadian safety standards, including those set by provincial Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.
- Act as the main liaison between the construction site and project managers, architects, engineers, and clients. Provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and changes.
- Identify and resolve any issues or delays that may affect the project’s timeline or quality. This includes troubleshooting technical problems and managing on-site conflicts.
- Develop and manage project schedules, including planning work shifts, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones.
- Train new and existing workers on safety procedures, job requirements, and best practices. Ensure that the team is skilled and knowledgeable about the project and safety protocols.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality. Report findings and any significant issues to project managers or other stakeholders.
- Engage in the recruitment and hiring of new staff members for the project.
Eligibility Requirements:
- This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in construction supervision or a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Understanding of various building techniques and material applications is preferred.
- Ability to coordinate with subcontractors, team members, and clients clearly and effectively.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities, including scheduling and resource allocation.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring efficient and effective project completion.
- Ability to quickly address and resolve issues or conflicts that arise on site.
