Job Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day activities in a food service establishment, ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflow.
- Enforce health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and training staff on proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer concerns, resolving complaints, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- One may contribute to menu development, suggesting new items and considering customer preferences, dietary restrictions, and cost-effectiveness.
- Hire, train, and schedule staff members, assigning duties and monitoring their performance. One may also handle employee issues and facilitate team communication.
- Oversee inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock to minimize wastage and ensure the timely availability of ingredients.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement strategies to enhance efficiency, and streamline workflow.
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage. Also, supervise and regulate the delivery of food trolleys
Eligibility Requirements:
- A high school graduation certificate or equivalent is typically required.
- Relevant work experience of 2 to 3 years in the food service industry is necessary.
- One should possess strong leadership skills to guide and motivate the team, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth workflow.
- Effective English communication is crucial to conveying expectations, providing instructions, and maintaining open lines of communication with staff, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation techniques is essential to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to dietary requirements.
- Exceptional customer service skills are important to handle customer inquiries, and complaints, and ensure a positive dining experience.
- The ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively is crucial for a food service supervisor, as they may encounter challenges related to staffing, equipment malfunctions, or customer concerns.
- Efficient time management skills enable a food service supervisor to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
