Responsibilities
Tasks
- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
- Keep maintenance reports and documentation
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
- Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
- Perform other routine maintenance.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment and understanding its mechanics.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for customer service interactions.
- Familiarity with welding techniques and their application in machinery repair.
- Competence in using various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
