ABOUT THE ROLE

The main role of a appliance salesperson is to service customers and create in-store sales. They are responsible for aiding customers with item location, addressing client service concerns, completing purchases, and creating a great customer experience. An appliance salesperson performs various duties such as close a transaction and assist consumers. A salesperson plays an active role in making recommendations to the customers from store’s inventory. He must be trained to handle and exceed customer expectations throughout their visit to the store and ensure that the customers had a great shopping experience. Previous experience in retail sales will be required.

Minimum of 5-year work experience (required)

Wages: $29.00/hour, plus bonus pays

Job duties and required skills:

  • Greet customers and determine their needs and purchasing power
  • Recommending products to the customers, explaining the use and care of merchandise, and product warranties
  • Provide details on other specialized products or services available at store, such as refurbished products, deals and sales
  • Estimate and quote prices, credit terms, trade-in-allowances, warranties, and delivery dates
  • Convince customers to purchase products by upselling and cross-selling
  • Understand customer concerns and respond to their inquiries
  • Prepare sales contracts and accept cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit payment
  • Maintain sales records for inventory control

Organizational skills:

  • Capability to organize time
  • Locate inventories and arrange business’s merchandise attractively
  • Skilled to record and maintain accurate records
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines with flexibility, and multi-task with minimal direction
  • Must work well with others and represent company in a professional manner
