Tasks

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
• Repair machine tools and their components.
• Set up and adjust production machinery and tools.
• Fit and assemble machine parts and components to close tolerances.
• Maintain inspection records and complete reports.
• Verify the dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances, and measure and layout workpieces.
• Set up, operate, and maintain various conventional and CNC machine tools.
• Monitor output to ensure it meets specifications and discard any defective parts.
• Ensure all operations comply with safety protocols.
• Mark materials for cutting or shaping and keep detailed inspection reports.
