Responsibilities
Tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, and other materials using woodworking machines, hand tools or power tools.
- Prepare tenders and quotations.
- Fit and install cabinet doors and kitchen accessories.
- Estimate costs and materials.
- Maintain, repair, renovate wooden structures in commercial and residential projects.
- Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other fasten materials to make frameworks or props.
