JOB REQUIREMENTS
Languages: English
Education:Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Work conditions and physical capabilities:Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Standing for extended periods.
Personal suitability:Leadership, Dependability, Efficient interpersonal skills, Initiative, Organized, Reliability, Team player
Supervision: 3-4 people
Tasks:
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
 
- Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
 
- Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
 
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
 
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
 
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas
 
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
 
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
 
- Manage kitchen operations
 
- Clean kitchen and work areas
 
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
 
- Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
 
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
